In the United States EL Minja's Chenpo started his career with Miss Jody Paquette and earned directly four points towards his American title, Chenpo won a 3 point major at the Tampa Bay Kennel Club show under judge Mrs Jean Fournier and one point at the Clearwater Kennel Club show under judge Mr Jon R Cole. He has won first place in his puppy class each time he was shown so far!

Lhasa Apso EL Minja Nashua Best of Breed
The Bleiswijk International CACIB Dogshow in Holland: Judge Mr. K. Nathan from the UK for our Lhasa Apso breed. My junior female EL Minja's Nashua 17 months old won the Junior class with JCAC and obtained Best Female CAC and Best of Breed, Nashua won 1st excellent 3 times back to back with 2 Best of breed included in Holland and is Dutch Junior Champion, my EL Minja's Mercedes won the res.CACIB.
In the honorary ring EL Minja's Nashua was placed Best in Group 4 under judge Mr. Hans Boelaars from Holland, great result for such a junior Lhasa.
In Letohalle, Norway Champion EL Minja's Solar Kyi won Best of Breed and Best in Group 1 !! congratulations for Sylvia, Tove and Lia.

Bundessieger 2009
BUNDESSIEGER DOGSHOW EVENT
At the famous Bundessieger 2009 Hund und Pferd event in Germany more then 9000 dogs from 30 nations were entered! my Jo-Bo won best male with CAC/CACIB/VDH and obtain the Bundessieger 09 title and Best of Breed, and finished for German and VDH Champion! My Nashua won her class with CAC/VDH and Katie won best female with CAC/CACIB/VDH and obtain the Bundessiegerin 09 title runner-up was Nashua with the reserve judge was breed specialist Mr W.Nouc.
On Saterday the National Dogshow event Jo-Bo won best male with CAC/VDH and Nashua won her class Res CAC+VDH and Katie won as well the CAC/VDH, this time we had Mr L.Pinto Texeira as judge.
On Sunday was the specialty zuchtschau in Unna Koningsborn Jo-Bo won CAC/VDH and Nashua won her class with CAC/VDH and Katie as well won CAC/VDH and Best of Breed the judge was breed specialist mrs Gundrun Menges-Mohr.

EL Minja's Chayenne entered both days in the junior classes with competition from Australia and Mexico Chayenne won Best Junior and Best of Breed under the judge Mr Victor Rosado and res. Best in Show Junior by judge Sra. Ceci Martinez on Saturday and in the breed group 3rd Best In Group, EL Minja's Chayenne won again Best Junior and Best of Breed on Sunday this time under judge Mr Perez Mesa, in the Junior handling with Maria she finished res. Best in Show.

2 November The International Bleiswijk Dogshow in Holland organized by KC Dordrecht, 2538 dogs entered, Candy won Best female with the CAC/CACIB and Best of Breed the Lhasa Apso breed judge was Mr Hans Boelaars from Holland. Fokken met uw hond is een leuke en spannende bezigheid. Als alles tenminste goed gaat.
Er komt namelijk heel wat bij kijken. Als eigenaar van de Lhasa Apso teef bent u bijvoorbeeld verantwoordelijk voor het uitkiezen van een geschikte reu en het vaststellen van het juiste moment van dekken. Daarnaast moet u ook nog de dracht en de geboorte begeleiden en na de bevalling de Lhasa Apso teef en pups goed verzorgen en socialiseren.

Castratie - sterilisatie van een Lhasa Apso
Je hoort het geregeld: "laat hem maar castreren dan gaat het wel over". Met "hem" bedoelt men de reu en met "het" worden diverse gedragsproblemen bedoeld. Agressie naar andere honden en/of andere mensen, weglopen, het op de meest vervelende plaatsen de poot oplichten, hypersexueel gedrag etc.
Vaak wordt deze ingreep als een soort wondermiddel toegepast. Dat de resultaten niet altijd even bevredigend zijn wordt als jammer beschouwd. Toch kan castratie een goed hulpmiddel zijn bij gedragstherapie of

Lhasa Apso's great show news EL Minja's
Lily did it again: 4 titles and 2 BOB in 1 weekend!
At the Sint Romboutscup in Mechelen Belgium on Saturday 23 august, my young Lhasa Jo-Bo won CAC/CACIB and my Lhasa Apso female Lily won the CAC/CACIB as well and Best of Breed, with this win Lily finished her Belgium Championship and International Championship under judge mrs Monique Van Brempt from Belgium.
On Sunday in Hannover-Isernhagen in Germany my male Jo-Bo obtained the CAC and VDH CAC, my Lhasa Apso females Candy and Lily both obtained CAC and VDH CAC and Lily finished for Best of Breed. In the Honorary ring Lily finished Res. Best in Show behind a Great Afghan Hound! The judge was Mrs Brenda Banbury from Great Britain, at this Dogshow Lily finished her German and VDH Championship, all in 1 weekend!

In the USA, EL Minja's Awa Skar Mo shown by Fran won Best of Winners under judge R E Banghart at Colorado Springs dogshows, well done Fran. In Denmark EL Minja's Xivas won under the Swedish judge mr. Bo Skalin best junior at national Kennel Club Show in Varde. Thanks Jette Yeoman for showing Xivas.
In the USA, Candy's sister "Alie" obtained her American Championship title and won Best of breed over specials lots of congratulations Bev !!, Alie, is the 3rd Champion out of Wicket X Daisy litter and this litter is the second generation EL Minja's in the USA!, at the same dogshow

Lhasa Apso - El Minja's Lhasa Apso information about the breed, historical images
Brabo International Dogshow last weekend my Lhasa Apso female Ch.Nuseng Candy Kisses Singdu (second generation EL Minja's born in the USA) won best female with CAC/CACIB and Best of Breed under judge Mrs A Pogessi (IT)in in the group finals Candy finished 3rd under judge Mrs De Wilde-Voet.
